Happy Monday! It’s back to the grind again after a beautiful weekend in New England. I went very simple with this week’s inspiration challenge – you really can’t go wrong with a grid. I was flipping through our collection of cds (remember those?) and came across this one (ah, nostalgia – I spent many hours at Push Stars shows):

Happy Monday everyone! It’s time for a new inspiration challenge. This week I’m back with an ad, a grid at that. I needed to pick something quick and easy after the busy weekend I’ve had!

Here’s my interpretation – I liked the strip of photos and how the journaling was added as black borders to the photos. I also like the “tab” at the bottom and moved that to the top.

Happy Monday everyone! I’m back with a new inspiration challenge, this time inspired by furniture arrangement. Yes, you read correctly – furniture! I was browsing a CB2 catalog and immediately thought of how one display could be translated into a scrapbook layout.

Here’s my interpretation – I replaced the sideboard with a storyboard I really liked the cluster of lights on the top right – will have to try that in another layout.

It’s time for this week’s inspiration challenge. This week I found a fun movie poster – haven’t actually heard of the movie but I love the look of the poster

I love the tilted photo frames and the blended photo in the background. The extracted figure is cool too but as I’ve mentioned before, I’ve never had any luck with extractions so I skipped it in my version. Would you believe I’m using current photos here – these were taken this weekend! I’ve been a slacker in the photo-taking department – I’m lucky I had some to use for this challenge

It was a bit of a challenge trying to figure out which font to use for my journaling since the title/word art uses so many fonts. I decided to go with a script font that was similar(ish) to the memories font. I’m loving the colors in “Saturday”. In case you can’t read it, we went to the Bunker Hill monument and climbed to the top (all 294 steps). My legs are still recovering, and I don’t think I’m that unfit! It’s steep!
